Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, ghee, and warm water. Knead into a soft, smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls.
  3. Roll each ball into a thin chapati.
  4. Apply a light layer of ghee mixed with oil on one side.
  5. Fold the chapati in a fan-like manner (like a paper fan), then roll it into a spiral shape.
  6. Flatten and roll out again gently.
  7. Heat a tava (griddle) and cook each parotta on medium heat, flipping occasionally.
  8. Apply ghee while cooking for a flaky texture.
  9. Once golden brown and crisp, remove and serve warm.
